On sugar In America the farmer gets a subsidy of $640 a tonne.
All our farmers get is the world selling price of $200 a tonne.
It costs them more than that to produce the sugar. (from AJones 2gb 11th feb )
? so what do you pay in the supermarket? .20 a kilo or 50% markup 40 cents a kilo?
